چکیده
Introduction Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder without intellectual disabilities (High Functioning ASD, HF-ASD) present atypical sensory sensitivity, due to the hyper-reactivity inputs. Objectives To retrospectively evaluate sensitivity in a sample of mothers HF-ASD during pregnancy (pre-partum), delivery and childbirth (peri-partum) three months after (post-partum). Methods 19 13 neurotypical (NT) were asked complete an ad-hoc questionnaire designed for study, named Maternity Questionnaire, assessing perception pre-, peri- post-partum. Moreover, they underwent following assessment: Autism-Spectrum Quotient (AQ), Empathy (EQ), Ritvo Asperger Diagnostic Scale-Revised (RAADS-R), Edinburg Postnatal Depression Scale (EPSD), Sensory Perception (SPQ) Post Partum Bonding Questionnaire (PBQ). Results At showed higher scores than NT overall. presented lower peri-partum, compared pre- post- partum periods, while linear decrease from partum. The two groups significantly differed at AQ, EQ, RAADS-R, SPQ Factor 3 PBQ. Sensitivity post-partum positively correlated EPDS scores. Conclusions Mothers HFA tend experience pregnancy, period differently mothers, particularly terms hypersensitivity, although peri-partum hypersensitivity decreases. Further studies investigating these aspects might give fundamental hints provide proper help motherhood

متن کاملChanges in Circulating ProAMH and Total AMH during Healthy Pregnancy and Post-Partum: A Longitudinal Study
Circulating Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is derived from the gonads, and is a mixture of the prohormone (proAMH), which does not bind to AMH receptors, and receptor-competent AMH. The functions of a hormone are partially defined by the factors that control its levels. Ovarian reserve accounts for 55~75% of the woman-to-woman variation in AMH level, leaving over 25% of the biological variation t...
متن کاملA Shock Model for the Pregnancy at Pre Partum and Post Partum
In this paper, a shock model for the effect of stress in terms of cortisol is studied. Assume that shocks arrive according to a Poisson process. Shocks are events which cause perturbation to the system, leading to its deterioration and consequent failure. The Cartisol Awakening Responds (CAR) at pre partum and post partum are compared by this model.

Brain lateralization for language in high-functioning children with autism spectrum conditions (ASC) and sensory processing were explored as a part of a neuropsychological profile. A dichotic listening test and the Luria laterality subtest were administered to all participants (including controls) and the sensory profile test only to the ASC group.
